All grounds and buildings of the Diocese of Bathurst are generally owned at law by Anglican Property Trust Diocese of Bathurst (APT) on trust for the purposes of the Anglican Church of Australia in this Diocese2. As a result, any building contracts relating to these properties must be formally approved by the APT3.
While this guide primarily addresses major works, the principles described reflect best practice and should also be applied to smaller projects managed by the parish wardens under delegated authority. Doing so helps reduce the risks associated with undertaking building works.
